Building a strong brand starts with understanding what your brand is all about. Identifying what your brand stands for, who will be interested in your brand and also what will make you stand out is really crucial before going into business.
Successful brands, that make money & stand out in this noisy online world have been built on strong values & have positioned themselves through identifying a few things.
This is why I have decided to share a process I used when I started my own business and a process I know use with all my brand development clients who come to me seeking business direction with new and old brands.
The first episode goes into laying a strong foundation, step one and most important part of the whole step.
Having a mission statement for your brand will assist in finding your core purpose & focus. Your mission statement needs to define what you will be doing, how you will be doing it, who you will be doing it for and the transformation you are bringing for your client. Your mission will basically sum up all the steps in this section, so you can even put it together last once you have answered everything below
I belive in planning ahead and knowing where you want to be as a person and for your business. So have a clear vision for your business. I suggest, when you are starting out, put together a 3 to 6 months or even a 1 year vision. Once you have identified where you want to be in that time period you can be able to map out your navigation plan to get to that point.
Unique Selling Point
This section can be quite tricky especially if you are starting a business that already has other brands dominating the industry. Identifiying what will make you stand out is very important. You can be introducing a product that is already available in the marketing but you might be offering a new feature. Identifying how you will package your product or service that will make people want to leave other brands and want to come to you
Who is Your Ideal Client?
Another crucial and important part is knowing who you want to work with. I have found that when you identify your clients, the exact people you want to work with, it makes it easy to get them to notice you cause you already know their likes and disliskes. So do your research about your ideal client so you know how to speak to them and get them to listen.
What Transformation will you have for your client?
If you do not know how your client will benefit & be transformed by using your services, then you will not have any clients. Find out your clients needs, problems they need solved and give them a product or service that will solve their issues. People don’t think twice in spending money on something they need.
I’m really excited to be sharing this series with you, because I’m really hoping it will get people started with ideas they might have had for a while but not too sure how to begin. People who have started their business but have not been successful with their goals, it time to sit down and review if you started things off with a good foundation.
I would like to hear from you what issues have you faced when it came to starting your business, have you overcomed those challenges or are you still stuck.
Should you start working on these steps do let me know how it goes and if you have any further questions around the steps
